Sfclogo.png TeachingOpenSource.org is a Member Project of Software Freedom Conservancy. "The Conservancy is a nonprofit organization centered around ethical technology. Our mission is to ensure the right to repair, improve and reinstall software. We promote and defend these rights through fostering free and open source software (FOSS) projects, driving initiatives that actively make technology more inclusive, and advancing policy strategies that defend FOSS (such as copyleft)." Nsflogo.jpg The U.S.National Science Foundation has made a series of grants to colleges and universities to fund work on student involvement in HFOSS and to expand the TeachingOpenSource community.
Redhat-logo.jpeg Red Hat developed and delivered the first version of POSSE. Red Hat has also been the gracious host and continued supporter of more recent POSSE workshops. Red Hat has also provided speakers for POSSE and TeachingOpenSource events and other support such as graphics art support to design the TOS and POSSE logos.
Google G Logo 512.png Google has supported POSSE and other TOS activities. This has included making it possible to offer POSSE to university faculty outside the United States, and being a host and continued supporter of POSSE in the U.S.
