MIT Technology Review has just published an interesting article titled “The US military wants to understand the most important software on Earth“. The article describes how Linux underlies most computation today and as well as an effort by DARPA (military research) to understand how open source projects work. The goal is to better understand the risk involved in open source projects as well as to better identify and ameliorate malicious actors.
