[edit] POSSE RIT 2011
Ben Steele is participating in the Professor's Open Source Summer Experience at RIT for 2011. His experiences exploring synchronous communication through IRC and asynchronous communication through MediaWiki were hampered by sluggish emails (needed for registration and confirmation, and the like).

[edit] POSSE Plan
Ben's POSSE Plan is barely there...
[edit] About Ben
I most enjoy seeing students as they "get it." I first taught with a consultant colleague of mine in 1999 in the Computer Engineering department. I started teaching as an adjunct in 2002 while continuing to work as a software engineer and project manager, and I quit my engineering job and switched to full-time in the Fall of 2005.
[edit] Recreation
Bicycling is my recreation, exercise and pleasure these days. I used to play disc golf but don't get out much any more.
[edit] Relaxation
To relax, I enjoy a good book, a documentary or an old movie.
